Tank, here! I won't be available to go to my new home until February 8th, but that doesn't mean we can't meet and fall in love in the meantime!

I am a happy, affectionate, meaty boy who hasn't met a dog or person I don't like! I love snuggling with my humans, wrestling with my foster dog siblings, and chasing my foster kitten siblings. My foster mom says I'm not supposed to do the third one, so we're working on that with commands like "gentle" and "leave it." But seriously, how am I not supposed to chase if they run!?

I bet you're thinking I sound pretty darn cool right about now, aren't you? Well, I'd have to agree but there is oneeee thing I still need to talk to you about. You see, when I came to KAR, I developed some serious separation anxiety. My foster mom has discovered the best way to keep me safe while we work on building my confidence with her leaving for work, is to leave me crated. However, if you crate me in a normal dog crate with no reinforcements, I will escape. My foster mom says she's never seen anything like it and calls me Houdini sometimes. I'm not trying to run away, just to come find you! If you put me in a room alone and close the door, I'll panic and use the bathroom and try to chew my way out. That's why I'll have to go to a home willing to invest in a strong crate that can hold me.

My foster mom is working really hard to build my confidence when left alone, but at this time, I'll need a home where someone is home more often than not and has another dog for me to play with. So that's me, Tank! Do you think I could be your forever dog? Put in an application and let's meet!

Hailey K was his foster parent.
