Special NeedsKing Tut is a Special Needs pet with FIV+

King Tut is such an awesome boy! He is like a dog. He wants to be by you or with you all the time. He will sleep next to you in the bed. He loves belly rubs and to be brushed. He likes to sit next to you on the couch.

Because he is overweight, he will need a restricted diet to help him lose weight. He also has congestive heart failure which is currently well managed with medication.

King Tut is FIV+. With FIV it just means his immune system isn’t as strong as a normal cat so he would just need prompt vet care. He gets along with cats so there would be no danger of him sharing a home with another cat that is FIV-

Kelly F is his foster parent. The adoption fee for King Tut is $40. If more than one cat or kitten is adopted the adoption fees are discounted, please complete our online application form if you are interested in adopting King Tut. A volunteer will contact you within approximately 48-72 hours.

All Kalamazoo Animal Rescue cats & kittens are spayed or neutered and feline leukemia tested prior to adoption. They also are given medication to rid them of roundworms and checked and treated for fleas & ear mites, if needed. All are given distemper vaccinations and depending on how long the pet has been in foster care, a booster vaccine may be necessary after adoption which will be the responsibility of the adopter. Additional vet care may have been provided depending on the particular animal's needs. Most cats and kittens are microchipped when they are spayed or neutered.
