Meet Toothless

Domestic Short Hair-black

Approx DOB: 3/18/2013
Gender: Male
Microchipped

Hi, I’m Toothless like from "How to Train Your Dragon." I kind of look like a dragon, don't you think? I'm a nearly solid black-furred kitty with citrine eyes. I was born to a feral mom and brought into the rescue with my siblings—Morning and Katniss—and raised as a bottle-baby.

My siblings and I had to undergo multiple rounds of testing, because FIV and FeLV have been prevalent in many of the feral litters this year. My siblings and I had to be separated for many weeks and I missed them greatly.

Once we all tested 100% healthy I got to go to a new foster home where my sister Katniss was waiting for me! We got to play all sorts of games together and had lots of fun toys to play with. Our human fosters are really great and I love getting—and giving—lots of affection.

My sister Katniss got adopted while we stayed at the PAH cat adoption center, but I got to come home to a new playmate, Tigger! It’s great having another guy around.

Most people don’t take the time to get to know me because of my black fur, which is a real shame. I’m a playful kitten and I love having another furry-friend to play with, but I’m also pretty laidback and would do well as a single cat as well. I love sitting in the window—I get to see all sorts of things!  I’m quite goofy and like to stick my paws in the water dish—I have to make sure it’s full! Since I was raised as a bottle-baby, I’m really affectionate and will purr up a storm when you pet me.

I hope to find my forever home with a loving family that loves everything about me—even my onyx-colored fur, because it really makes me quite handsome don’t you think?

Come meet me at an adoption event or fill out an adoption application if you’re interested in meeting me. And read up on Black Cat Syndrome in the KAR article, "Don’t Judge a Kitten by the Color of Its Fur."

I can’t wait to meet you!
