Meet Bentley

Looking for a diamond in the rough? Look no further than Bentley, an absolute dream dog! He was saved from the local shelter, extremely skinny and very sick. One of our volunteers saw the kindness in his eyes and knew she had to save him. Out of all the dogs at the shelter that day, Bentley lay sleeping in his cage, even with all the commotion going on around him. As she looked at him through the cage she could see he was getting a bad upper respiratory infection and had mucus coming from his nose. He was picked up as a stray, so perhaps he was happy to be warm and well fed. Bentley looks a lot older than his years and no doubt has been through an awful lot. Unlikely to get adopted in the condition he was in, there was a good probability he was going to be euthanized.

KAR was not about to let that happen so the next day he was transferred. He went to the vet and received medication and is getting lots of love from our volunteers. We are determined to show Bentley what it means to be loved, looked after and cherished. He is now living the life of luxury and waiting for his happily ever after.

Once upon a time Bentley was loved enough to be trained. He already knows sit, stay, down, shake and come. He doesn't jump on anyone, he is potty trained, crate trained, and LOVES kids, cats and other dogs! He is a happy, friendly boy who wags his tail for visitors and calms down quickly.

Bentley will need a home with a fenced in back yard as he was picked up as a stray. He will need daily walks and exercise to continue to be a calm, awesome dog. He deserves nothing less than the best home, willing to give him everything, long walks and vacations at the beach. He is ready to be someone's devoted companion and wants to be with you but he is also calm and quiet when he is crated. Bentley has never growled or barked at anyone. He continues to amaze us with his way with children and all other animals. A lucky family will be the ones chosen to adopt this dog.
