Meet Marty

Meet Marty! The cute, fun, high energy Basenji Mix. Saved from a shelter in Indianapolis 4 years ago, he thought he had found his forever home but this little guy was given up by his owners because their kids had outgrown him! Clearly he loves kids and just wants to be a loved family member. Marty has a lot of energy and will ideally need a fenced in back yard as well as someone willing to exercise him daily. He loves to walk, run and come out with someone riding a bike. He loves to get belly rubs, snuggles and have his white line on his face rubbed! Marty is crate trained, potty trained and all up to date. He is in great condition and comes with leather collar, leash and travel crate for the car as he likes to ride that way! Weighing in at just 27pounds this boy is all muscle and would fit perfectly into most any home but definitely does not seem to like cats. Careful introduction to other dogs is going to be needed as he can be selective with his canine company! Older children would be preferred since that is what he is used to and he is high energy. Although he does need work on a leash and training on making friends with other dogs he is calm around the home and eager to please you.Will you be his forever home, promise to love him for the rest of his life and not let him be homeless again through no fault of his own?
