Meet Cassie

Hello, my name is Cassie. I am a very beautiful calico looking for my new forever home. I am a senior lady of fifteen years, but you wouldn't know it! I lived with my previous family for 13 years since I was a little kitten, but as their family expanded, myself and my sister became very low priority. We ended up just living in a laundry room (the children were too scary) and sometimes our family even forgot to feed us. In their words, "we became a burden", and they relinquished us to KAR. I was lucky to find my new forever home with a nice lady. However, this home didn't turn out to be as 'forever' as I had hoped, as the lady moved into senior accommodation and I was left at Animal Services. They contacted KAR and I am now back with my foster mom.

I really enjoy being fussed and love to be stroked. My foster mom lays with me on the floor and strokes me and tickles me under the chin (see video), which I adore. I still enjoy to play, hunting the 'feather on a stick', pouncing when it least expects it. I am also a little chatty, and will talk to you, especially if I haven't seen you for a couple of hours.

I've had a check up at the vets and they said I look very healthy and all my blood work came back within normal range, which is very good for a cat my age. I have had a dental cleaning, with no extractions, as my teeth are nice and healthy. I am also up to date on my shots.

I would prefer a low energy home without other cats, children or dogs. I would love to find a forever mom who will adore me for the super special girl I am. I look forward to meeting you, so please fill in an online form if you would like a new forever addition to your home.
