Hi, I am Ayla. If you follow the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue Facebook page, then maybe you have seen some of my stories and my journey with the rescue. I also have my own Facebook page, so maybe you have seen that. Anyways, I am a very special girl and I have been with the rescue for over a year now (which is a pretty long time). It has been this long because I needed some pretty major surgeries on my front legs. When I came in to the rescue, my front legs were deformed and I couldn't walk very well or normally. But everyone in the rescue felt I was such a sweet and loving girl that they decided to raise the money that was necessary for me to get the leg surgeries that would help to correct this problem.

So, I have now had the leg surgeries and have learned to walk again and I am now ready to find my own forever home.

I am potty trained and crate trained and I really like to cuddle. I hope you are ok with me climbing into your bed or into your lap, so I can be near you because that is what I really need and enjoy. I don't do a lot of walks really because it hurts my legs if I go too often. I love children, cats and other dogs, but I might be better off being the only dog in the home or with smaller dogs so that I don't play too hard and injure my legs (because oh do I like to play). So, if you think you would love to have a cuddly lover like me in your home, please fill out an application and lets see if you can be my forever family.

Ayla is a very special girl and she does have some special needs in keeping her healthy and happy. She needs to be on weight management dog food since she can't exercise a lot... and it is very likely that she will need arthritis meds as she ages. Other than that, the surgeon who did her surgery does expect that she will be able to basically be a normal dog. But please keep this special care in mind when applying for her.

Jill B was her foster parent.
