Meet Duke

My name is Duke. My owner surrendered me to the local shelter for my own safety, as she thought someone in the household was abusing me. It was scary, and I know I look sad, but thats just the way my little black spots play on my eyes. I'm really happy now, and everyone says I'm a big lovable hunk of a guy. Just look at my smile and my pearly whites, I'll charm the pants off you. I am about 3 years old, in great shape, and I love to play. At the same time I'm more than happy to sit quietly, snuggle close, and watch a movie with you. By the way, I love popcorn.

 

I live with my foster mom and share it with many cats, kittens, and 3 other large dogs. I know basic commands like sit, and down...but I'm still working on some others. I will fit in with any family, any household, anyone who will love me.  Come look into my eyes, let me charm you with my smile, and tell me I'm not the best thing ever.

Duke is house broken, neutered, microchiped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and create trained. He is good with other dogs, cats, and children. He is a gentle boy who really just wants love, reassurance, and praise. He gets overwhelmed if yelled at and does best with positive guidance and reinforcement. As his foster mom I can honestly say he is the easiest and best foster dog I have had to date.
