Are you looking for a little redheaded girl? Meet Lucy, she is the life of the party. Lucy loves to cuddle, she is cute as a button, and she is quiet (rarely barks). She loves a few good bones or antlers for chewing on and stuff toys are always loved. Lucy loves to play chase, if you pretend to chase her she will run zoomies all over the yard. She also likes chasing squirrels and car rides.
Lucy is a high energy girl who needs good long walks or maybe a run, more than just a big yard to play in. If she doesn’t get her exercise she will let you know by getting into mischief. Solve this by strapping a backpack on her weighted with water bottles and go for a couple mile walk. Lucy knows “sit”, “down”, “wait”, “Out”, “Get” and we are working on “stay”. She is very smart but stubborn, once she learns the benefit of doing as asked she will have better follow through. Food is a good motivator, so snacks help. I highly recommend some additional obedience training for Lucy.
Lucy is just under a year old weighing in at about 45 lbs., she is house trained, crate trained, spayed, micro-chipped, up to date on all her shots including rabies. She is also heartworm negative and on Proheart, a 6 month shot.
I feel that Lucy would do best in a clam environment. Although she likes children, I do not recommend she be in a house with children under 5 yrs of age, due to the risk of being knocked down.
Look for Lucy to be at up coming adoption events.
Susan C. was her foster parent.
