Meet Billy

Hi there! My name is Billy. I am about 8 years old and am told I am a Beagle mix. I weigh about 34 pounds so I am not too big or too small, just perfect if you ask me. Due to my age I mainly like to lay on the couch and relax, I like to go outside to potty and can be trusted in the house unsupervised. I actually really don't like crates, I had to stay in one too long at a local shelter.

I came into KAR from a local shelter after having been attacked by a couple of dogs. My ears and face show the signs of the attack and I am very grateful to the woman who saved me from those dogs.

There are other dogs in my foster home and I don't mind them one bit, they do their thing and I do mine. There are cats here too but I don't like when they stand up to me so it may be best if you don't have cats. I live with people big and small and love them all for the pets and belly rubs they offer. The only thing I don't like is getting my nails trimmed or people doing stuff I don't like, then I tell them "No". My foster Mom is working with me on my stubbornness though, she says it's only an issue 2-5% of the time, she says I'm perfect the other 95-98% of the time. Billy also has a 2/5 heart murmur that is progressing to a 3/5 heart murmur so the vet says he may need medication in the future. He also had a large cyst in his mouth that was removed through dental surgery. Proper teeth maintenance will be important.

Won't you come meet me and get to know me better? I still have many years left to live and want to spend them in my forever home, is that with you?
