Sophie is a very loving, petite little young lady. Her favorite thing to do is to sleep on a warm lap, and she will start purring as soon as you look at her.
Sweet little Sophie has a congenital condition called cerebellar hypoplasia that effects her balance and motor skills.
Sophie has a normal life expectancy, she is in no pain, and her condition will not worsen. She does not need any medications and is relatively self-sufficient. She just needs someone with a little understanding. She will never run and play like a young kitten, but will be the best lap buddy and constant companion you could ever hope for!
Though she is not too graceful, she is able to get around, eat & drink, and use the litter box on her own. She just needs an owner who will be her guardian and keep her safe from dangerous situations. She must not have access to stairs or any high places that she can fall from, and she must never be declawed. She doesn't scratch the furniture; she uses her claws to help with mobility. She is able to get around best when she is on carpeting or a rug, and it is important to keep her away from sharp corners. Although she is not able to walk well, our bright & determined young girl has developed amazing ways of getting where she needs to be. She is an inspiration to us all!

Her foster parents were Emily & Sheila.
