Huey's Story

This was poor Huey, a drug dealers dog who was left behind when the dealer went to jail. He has no fur due to mange, has serious yeast infections and open sores. Nobody cared enough to get treatment for him and there was no money to euthanize him so he lived on in great discomfort.

It was first thought that he was a Sharp Pei mix due to all the folds in his skin but the folds were due to his skin being in such bad shape. We believe he is an English Mastiff mix. He would only have survived another week or two without treatment.

In spite of his health problems, Huey has a wonderful temperament and is friendly to everyone he meets. He was treated by Paw Paw Vet Clinic and Allegan Vet Clinic, two great local veterinarian clinics.
