Reggie is a very special boy that has been searching for a very long time for his forever home. He is very deserving of a home; he just needs to be given a chance and a committed owner. He requires a home where he will get consistent positive leadership, daily exercise and where his owners will take part in on-going professional training that will be provided by KAR.

Reggie's life of a rescue dog began at the age of 10 months old, he was found as a stray and brought into the local shelter in January of 2012 and shortly thereafter, he came into KAR. While in his foster home, on a farm, he lived and played with all the animals including other dogs. Reggie has now been in and out of two homes that he thought was his forever home.

He successfully lived in his first home for four months and then came back to KAR. Due to foster homes being at their capacity, Reggie was boarded at a local kennel. Next he spent six weeks with what he thought was his forever family until he was again returned to KAR. Currently Reggie is back at the local kennel where he is getting as much love and attention as possible. Although he is safe and doing well at the kennel, Reggie deserves a home he can call his own, someone to love and care for him and someone that will put in the work and time to make him shine.

Reggie has exhibited some signs of anxiety when left alone. He has escaped from crates in the past. Having another dog that has calm positive energy is a must for Reggie's success. Like all dogs, Reggie requires daily exercise, walks and on-going training that KAR is willing to provide.

He is now almost two years old and has never had a place to call home. Lack of consistent leadership and environment has created some anxiety issues. KAR is very dedicated to Reggie as we see his awesome potential and truly believe there is a family out there for him. For the first two years of his life he was bounced around so much and he has some issues to work through. He needs to go through training with his forever family to reach his full potential and show you the amazing dog he can be. We want to support the family that adopts Reggie so KAR has decided to pay for in-home training with a professional trainer for the right family after they commit to adopting Reggie. This trainer has worked with Reggie and knows his history.

The patient, dedicated home that Reggie is looking for is very specific. You must be experienced dog owners and be confident in your ability to rehab Reggie. You must have another playful, well behaved dog for Reggie to bond with as he is more relaxed with another dog in the home. You must be home more often then you are not, have the time to properly exercise Reggie, and have the time to be able to work with the trainer for the first few months. To give Reggie the best chance to succeed, no children in the home. If you are interested in giving Reggie your commitment to train, love and bond with him, please contact us.

Chrisann G was his foster parent.
